How to calculate the cognos hardware requirement ?
Even though it depends on the number of users(active,named,concurrent),reports and the batch jobs run during peak,nonpeak hours.
Is there any calculation to know how much
1) processor,RAM and other parameters are required ?
2)Number of dispatchers ? Report servers, gateway ?
for example we have 'X' reports and 'Y' users ..need some generalised calculations assuming general conditions.Please let me know if you any idea on this..

IBM have an internal document they use for this. It requires the person involved to be knowledgable about what the various terms and constraints mean, though, so they only make it available to internal people who have passed a certification to use it.
