Title: Cognos Content Archival
Post by: NYD3030 on 04 Apr 2014 11:55:10 AM
I am curious about Cognos Content Archival.  We are migrating from 8.4.1 to 10.2.1 and have A TON of objects that haven't been used in years.  I am looking into Cognos Content Archival to find and delete this stuff but am getting a murky picture of how exactly it works.

Does it archive only run history and output versions, or would it archive the report spec itself?

I would like to identify and remove from Cognos Connection entirely the reports not executed in the last six quarters and I expected this feature to allow me to do this, but now I'm unsure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

On archiving, It archives all the information which is stored in content store.

You can use the sdk to get all the reps names which not executed since last six months and delete.
