Hi All,
Just got one doubt and tried to google that but not able to find much info so thought to post here.
I can see two java.exe processes running on cognos server. As long as I remeber in cognos8 it used to be only one java.exe.
Here in Cognos 10.2 is there any special reason to have two java.exe processes ?

I'd expect to see two java.exe processes on a server with a complete install in this architecture (ie in ReportNet, Cognos 8 and Cognos 10). One hosts the Content Manager/CAM processing and the other hosts the Application Server services.
It's perfectly normal. Is it possible your C8 install was a distributed architecture with CM on a different server?
Cheers!
MF.
It's correct that you see 2.
One is for the Query Service (DQM) and the other one is for the other Cognos services.
The DQM version can be Identified by looking at the column "Command line" in Windows task manager (you must add this column to your view). It's the one with the argument is "v5dataserver" in it.
