Title: Pretty noob problem: don't know how to show again a hidden folder

That's it. I've marked a folder as hidden and now I don't know how to show it again. That's embarrasing.

 ;D Not at all....there is a lot to know and it is easy to forget where something lives

Click on the "My Area Options" icon. This is on the upper right to the left of the Launch menu. Select My Preferences and you will see a check box on the General tab to show hidden entries. Check that and you should be good to go
