You have a user that doesn't exist in the new environment. You can edit the exports\ {APPNAME}\security\users.txt file to remove the lines with the Not Known entries. Then do the migration.

Thank you Danno.
when I am trying to import application, its throwing me an error
"Unable to import application 'datastore/datastorename/applications/applicationname' the application may be corrupt, you should restore it from a database backup." error on failed Deployment import of an application.

Are you clicking on the Database name when importing? If it is a new application this makes a difference as I found and can produce this error which is somewhat misleading.

I am not clicking on Database, I am using deployment wizard, and its not new application i am doing a migration to a new server.

If it doesn't exist on the new server you still have to define it even if you are using the deployment wizard. Hopefully I am not misunderstanding you. It seems to me that migrating to a new server implies does not yet exist on the new server. Maybe you can clarify.

If I remember correctly, that's an issue with the users or extensions setup.  take a backup of the package, edit to drop the extensions folder, the extintersection.txt (spelling) and other files that look related.  If that doesn't work, restore from the backup copy and  try deleting the users.txt and related files (don't remember names).

I've had this error multiple times with different clients, but it's been a while since I've  migrated from 8.4 so I don't remember the specifics.

As long as your DB account has permissions, it should create the database for you as part of the import dialog - that shouldn't be an issue.

Hi,

When people are trying to help you, it seems very pushy to ask for their email/phone details, presumably so you can contact them directly to solve your issue. If someone wants to contact you and offer to help offline, they will volunteer it. Requests like this put someone "on the spot" and many can find it both uncomfortable and intrusive. Please do not do this.

MF.
