Title: CSN index files (PRX / FRQ) consuming lots of disk space. Safely delete?

As the title states, I'm noticing the constant generation of index files being thrown into subfolders in {COGNOS}\cognos\c10_64\indexes\csn. How far back must they go? Can older ones be safely deleted?
