Title: Ibm Cognos services are not starting

Hi all,
i tried to install the cognos 10.2.2 in my local mechine. i done the oracle database connection sucessfully in cognos configuration. when run the server ibm cognos services are not starting i am getting below error.

"CFG-ERR-0106 IBM Cognos Configuration did not receive a response from the IBM Cognos service in the time allotted.
Check that IBM Cognos service is available and properly configured."

i tried all the possible solutions but i unable to sort out the error.

Hi,

What does "I tried all the possible solutions" mean? Can you tell us what you tried? Are you looking for a solution that is impossible? :)

A good place to start is the technote below. Try the suggestions there and see if any of them solve your issue:

Yes, i tried all the scenarios which they mentioned in IBM support document but i didn't get any clue.

Ok - you tried all of those?

What OS is your local machine running? What spec is it (CPU and memory)?

What CPU? Sounds to me like you are hitting Scenario 2 in the technote I included a link to...
