Title: How to roll up measures only at lower levels
Post by: damzI on 08 Nov 2016 03:48:30 PM
Hello All,
So I have 3 measures in my cube - m1,m2,m3.
My time dimension has Years, Qtrs and Month levels.

I do not want the m3 measure to roll up at the Qtr and Year level and display N/A instead.

How can I design this is Transformer so the m3 measure down not roll up the time dimension.
Thanks, D

Hi All,
I am still looking for this solution.

For one of my 5 measures - I need to NOT rollup the values at the higher level of the time dimension.

Looking for clues...

Thanks, D

A complete answer would require a dive into your model, which is probably more than can be done here. It is not as simple as you might think, as the normal thing is preventing people getting too much detail, whereas you want them to have detail without higher-level aggregates. So if you want a short answer there probably isn't one.

You might be able to accomplish this with custom views, but I think you will need to look at external rollups. See page 102 and following in the user guide.

thank you - it does seem not as easy...or possible - am looking into external rollups...
