After upgrading from 11.0.6 to 11.0.9 I am unable to see my user logout option. In fact, I don't see my user in the upper right hand corner at all. Has anyone else experienced this?
Yup. We did the same, 11.0.6 in dev and uat to 11.0.9. My icons in the top left were doubled and the middle top drop down menu had disappeared.
Turns out when you do the upgrade, stop IIS as well as the regular Cognos services.
Everything was fine after that with no file modification. Just the regular install. Also healthy to do a reboot after the install. IIS will auto start, then start you Cognos service. Our Cognos service is set to manual restart due to TM1 EV and Pulse needing to be restarted after Cognos.
p.s. always clear you IE cache as well after the install.
Thanks for your reply. Our system is all Linux. Everything was stopped when I did the upgrade. It seems to be a browser issue maybe as some (not all) can see the information in firefox. Noone can see it in IE. However, this morning after making no changes, I was able to see it, but when I logged back in 5 minutes later, it was gone .... very strange.
