I'm posing this question through the Content Portal section of the forum because in Cognos v10 this could be accomplished through the "Search" function at the top of the main portal page. However, my question is also relevant to the v11 Reports function too.

When doing a Search from the v11 Portal, it seems to only search out folder names and report names. This same Search doesn't appear to be as powerful and as deep as the v10 Search was.

Essentially my question, is there a data item search feature anywhere within the Cognos v11 user interface?

Hi Ferd- Yes, in the recently released version i.e.,11.1.R1 there is a feature that allows us to search the data items from within the Report Studio.
