Has anyone implemented Cognos bursting with the following requirements?
Dynamic file naming: Generate different Excel filenames based on the burst recipient or Org ID.
Blank report delivery: Even when there is no data for a particular Org ID, the recipient should still receive a blank Excel report (with column headers), provided the burst key matches between the burst query and recipient query.
What I've tried: For dynamic file naming, I created a calculated data item in the report query by concatenating the Org ID and Report Name. I then used that data item as the Label under Burst Groups in Burst Options, but it didn't change the generated Excel filename.
Has anyone successfully implemented either of these requirements using standard Cognos bursting, or is additional customization needed?
Any suggestions or workarounds would be appreciated. Thanks!
