Hi Gurus,
I am working on requirement where i need to join quries across two different databases (both oracle).
Problem i am facing is that when I create two different query subjects at FM level & join them.I create one more query subject having required query items from both query subjs.Now when i pull this(final) query subject in report,the ouput of the report is cross join of two query subject.
Now if i use same queries (as Manual SQL to Report studio Query) at report level & join them at report level,final ouput is cross join of the two.
In both the cases in Query Properties ,Processing option i am setting as Local Processing.(with reference to http://support.cognos.com/supported/docs/en/html/cognos8_bi/8.3/crn_arch_id3198DesigningModelsandReportsforPerformance.html )
In second case even i am using cross product deny option.
Please let me know if i am missing any step or cross databse joins are not possible in cognos 8.2/Report studio/FM level.
