Title: Taking too long

Hi Guys,
We are using Cognos 8.2,I had a problem .I was able to login and go thru cognos connection page and see all the packages, but when i click on a report in a package and try to open it (or)if i try to open any of the options in Tool Menu(or)try to open report studio/query studio, it is taking too long and keeps on running.Any suggestions  will help me guys.I am new to this admin and thinking to restart the cognos config will that work

In Cognos Documentation or KB ....find "Server Administration and Security guide" see chapter 5 which talks about the optimization....make changes to your setting like <Number of high affinity connections for the batch report service during non-peak period> or <Maximum connections for delivery service during non-peak period>.
