Title: SET QUERY PRIORITIZATION
Post by: DiGzâ„¢747 on 03 Nov 2008 07:42:23 PM
Hello Guys,

I would like to ask for some tips on the Set Query Prioritization in Cognos Administration.  In order to improve the overall performance of our Cognos 8.2 environment, we intend to change the default value of the following system parameter setting for Setting Query Prioritization,

Parameter Name: RSVP.PROMPT.RECONCILIATION
Default Value: COMPLETE or 0
Proposed Value: CHUNKED GROUP or 2

We've already implemented that setting in our DEV environment.  My question is, IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT NEEDS TO BE SET/MODIFY IN ORDER TO USE THE NEW SETTING???

Regards,

Nope thats it, the setting should take effect for all new report requests for the configured report services. Its worth checking out concurrent query execution while you doing this.
