Title: problem with sun one directory server
Post by: ldsophia on 25 May 2009 04:42:08 AM
I used sun one directory sever as my cognos8.3 Series 7 Namespace, the cognos configuration as follows

testing this is successful, but when I logged into the cognos connection as a user of NTLM namespace,i found that there was no user in the sunone namespace.

but I have build users in the sun one directory ,as follows

How can i build users then i can see them in sunone namespace of Cognos Administration. Is there something wrong with my cognos configuration?please help me.thank you.

Users and user classes are built in Access Manager, when you connect to a Cogos Series 7 namespace (which is created by code in Cognos configuration manager, and is proprieraty Cognos format) .
If you want to treat your sun ONE as an independent ldap provider, you need to connect to it using an ldap connector in cognos configuration.

I connect to sun one using an ldap connector in cognos configuration, then it can work.
