Title: Can't see Series 7 Namespace Classes When Creating Groups
Post by: david.stachon on 01 Oct 2009 03:04:05 PM
Hi,

(I'm at a particular site, in which they've configured Cognos 8.4 to use their Series 7 namespace)

When I create a "Role" in Cognos 8, I'm able to navigate my series 7 namespace and add my associated user classes / users.

When I create a "Group" in Cognos 8, I'm able to drill into my series 7 namespace, but don't see any users or user classes.

(8.4 MR1)

Any thoughts?

thanks,
david.

I'm on 8.3 but there's a "Show Users in List" check box that I have to check before it shows the users.

thanks for the reply...

there appears to be a nuance with using Series 7 namespaces.

looks like I'll have to use "Roles" for everything.

userclasses in series 7 namespace are dispalyed as roles in Cognos 8
