Title: Cognos 8 SSO on UNIX
Post by: kapo on 13 Oct 2009 03:31:11 PM
trying to get the Cognos 8 SSO working on Unix environment.
REMOTE_USER environment variable must be present in the Web Server and pass it on the the LDAP for it to work. While in IIS this variable is there by default, in Apache/IBM HTTP Server is not.
I am trying to find out how to populate REMOTE_USER environment variable.
Is this an appache web server setup? or is this something that will have to be achieved through some custom script/code/...
Anybody has experinece on this?
Our environment is:
Cognos 8.3 SP3 on AIX 5.3
IBM HTTP Server 2.0.47
Authenticating against Active Directory as LDAP
Thanks,
Adriatik

Are you getting an error?

Check your log in Apache / IHS ...

You can pinpoint your error by setting up IPF traceability in Cognos.
