Title: Executing reports from batch
Post by: kmuller on 03 Nov 2009 12:46:53 PM
Has anyone been able to execute reports from a batch file not using the SDK?

I want to run specific jobs or reports from batch files executed at the end of my etl process.

Any ideas?

Yes, you can call the trigger in a batch script...when scheduling reports you'll see the option for "By Trigger" under Frequency.

I am trying to get away from using the Cognso scheduler for anything.  I have found it to not be very dependable.  Trying to move scheduling totally outside of Cognos.
