hi

we have some automatic scripts that rebuilds our power cubes(2 ) that have been working for some time. These are on a schedule and it looks like ti is running correctly but i dont thing it is as the numbers i the cube are not changing. I went in transformer to try and do a manual rebuild of the power cube mdc file and i got the message

TR0787 - locking of cube
h:\cognos\power cubes\name.mdc has failed and is propable used by another application

any ideas

A user or application is looking at your cube. You'll need to create the cube as a different name and then switch the datasource in cognos to look at the new cube.

Either that or wait for the user or application to be using your cube.

i done a manual rebuild by restarting the cognos service. then i ran the scheduled rebuilt seems to be working now
