Title: How to anble all the studios in cognos connection

Hi all,

I installed cognos 8.1 on windows XP.Now my server is running fine.But am able to see only Report Studio and Query Studio Links appearing on the right side corner of the cognos connection.

Here I also required Analysis Studio and as well as Event Studio.

Plz let me know how can I enable those studios to work for the cognos developer.

What internet explorer do you use? If you use Firefox, you cannot see all studio. Make sure you use MS IE.

Hi,

You should see links for all the studios regardless of which browser you are using.  Analysis Studio and Report Studio will not work in Firefox if you try to launch them, though.

I suspect your problem is that you have installed the "ReportNet Edition" of Cognos 8, which has only the same studios as ReportNet (ie Query Studio and Report Studio).

Do you have the full install of Cognos 8?

Hi,

in case it's really Cognos 8.1 and not Cognos ReportNet, then security might be the issue. You've only the studios available that you have been granted access rights to. SO I suggest to check your Cognos 8 security setup.
