Title: Can't Login to Cognos after Domain was removed
Post by: sweires on 21 Jan 2010 05:33:51 PM
so, this will sound silly, but the cognos administration account which we use to access and administer cognos is gone on the domain. If fact, the domain it lived on, is gone.

Any ideas??
I'm hoping for an ini or cfg file we can use to break into cognos and login locally??

Help!

Run C:\Program Files\Cognos\c8\configuration\schemas\content\dbtype\AddSysAdminMember.sql
(this will add everyone back to the system administrators group)
Then in Cognos configuration set allow anonymous access to true and restart service.

Then login and start thinking about rebuilding security.

Similar problem here although it gets interesting.

Unable to see 'systems administrators' even after running the script.

Call open with Cognos and my content store with them for assistance.

Create a new Content Store then Systems Administrator is present.
Restore the content store backup and it's missing.
Stop Services
Run the AddSysAdminMember.SQL script.
Start Services.
User still missing.

Any ideas ahead of Cognos feedback?
