Title: Web Client Status rate?
Post by: Radhika on 25 Jan 2010 04:31:44 AM
Hi All,

Whether i should increase the Web Client Status Refresh Rate or decrease the web client status rate to have a better performance?

As of now, i am facing a problem... i see a blank page while opening Cognos elist node ?

And also when opening a contributor application?

Thanks in advance?

Radhika

I don't think that changing the web client refresh rate improves performance on the client side, but it could have a positive effect on the network traffic in general if bandwidth is limited in your network.

Rather I think it is the workflow page refresh rate you want to change if you are experiencing performance problems when loading the e.list. Increasing it will lead to less frequent refreshing of the workflow page which will have a positive effect if you have a long e.list view

In CAC, under the application you want to change this setting for, chose application options under web client configuration and then change workflow page refresh rate. you can for instance change this to 10 minutes from the default 1 minute if you have a very extensive e.list
