Title: Publishing Packages
Post by: buffynut25 on 02 Mar 2010 03:34:13 PM
Is it possible to grant a user permission to create a report in a specific folder, but deny them the ability to publish a package in that same folder?  We have a group of users who have Framework Manager - they need the ability to look at projects and view the models; and they can publish packages for their own use, but not for public consumption.  So, we want them to be able to create reports in Public folders, but we do NOT want them to be able to publish any packages in the public folders.  Is it possible to enforce this through Administrator permissions?

Hi,

It is not possible, once you give the user write access for him to save new reports in the folder, he will also carry over the same permission/access while publishing the package.
