Title: Cognos back end monitoring
Post by: Cognoster on 29 Mar 2010 05:20:05 AM
hi Cognoise

How can a user know about a particular query being fired from report studio at the back end? Is IPF viewer one of the means to view the user fired query?

Hi,

I think IPF Viewer (or IPF Log Viewer) is a tool to help in reading Cognos logs.
To show all queries fired off from a report, I believe you have to set "Audit logging level for report service" to at least at "Trace" level, then it will show up in cogserver.log? That file will grow big real fast...

Regards,
Z

Does that give you the actual MDX query fired by cognos?  I've been looking for something like that...
