All,
Did anyone come across this error, we keep getting this error all the time and could not come to a correct solution for this error.
My observations are its caused because some some join issues but even after fixing 'em, it doesn't seem to work.
Can any suggest a work around to fix these errors with different details

   An error occured while performing operations 'sqlPrepareWithOptions' status='-9'.

Also, is there a place in cognos support where in cognos documents all solutions for these kind of errors.
My Environment is DB2/Oracle DB's with reports running on Cognos MR2

The 2 times we have ran into this issue:

1)  We have user credentials being passed through a hidden prompt through drill-throughs and such.
               Our credentials exist in a parameter map and the person attempting to run a report did not
                 exist in this parameter map.

2)  The user was already logged on to a session but attempted to logon again without logging off or COMPLETELY logging out of every browser that held cognos data.

I've seen this error when the table names were greater than 30 characters, but that note was also in the error message.

Is this the only portion of the error you are receiving, or is there more detail to your specific error?
