Build framework from Active Directory hierarchy?

I can't seem to find an answer to this, and I really don't know if it is possible, but has anyone found a way to create a framework to do reporting off the structure of an Active Directory in a Windows Domain?

All my searches just yield how to set up security and authentication for Active Directory in FM, but not how to build a framework around it.

Realizing this is an outdated post. I was wondering if reporting on Active Directory data possible in Cognos Analytics 11?

If you can set up a JDBC connection to it, yes.

The question would be why?  It would probably be better if you ETLed the data to your data warehouse and relate it to your other data.
