IBM World of Watson
« on: 29 Jul 2016 04:50:27 pm »
Is anybody going this year? It's in Las Vegas from Oct 24-27, 2016. I believe this is replacing IBM Insight ?

I could not attend last year but this year I am planning to.

Sounds like the name of a theme park! I've always found the IBM conference to be a worthwhile event but I don't expect I'll be able to make it this year.

No worries Lynn, I will send a beer from there on your email  :)

I hope I can meet some cognoise folks there. Maybe people haven't decided so far and they will as we get closer to the event.

First 2 rounds of drinks is on me. Apart from Tuesday evening ( have to attend IBM's dinner ), my time is flexible.

What a grand show ! It sure was a 'world' of watson !

Sad thing is that nobody remembers Cognos anymore  >:(  No mention of it except in a couple of small booths which only a handful of people probably visited.
Predictive Analytics seems to be the way which probably would reduce the need to create analytics by developers to a large extent.
