Webdav issues after upgrade to 11.1.2
« on: 23 Sep 2019 02:13:08 pm »
Hi,

Prior to the upgrade to 11.1.2 users were able to browse images within studios with no issue. And i'm confident that Webdav was configured and working as expected.

However, after our upgrade to 11.1.2 when trying to browse images users are presented with the following message:

"There were no images or folders returned for this request. This might be because WEBdav is not enabled for this location"

Entering the name of the image file for example Alex_Active.png will then render the image within the report.

This was an over the top installation and the webdav settings have been checked and are unchanged from the previous configuration used for 11.0.13

Any suggestions or pointers would be appreciated.

I have reviewed the webdav settings and as far as i can see, it all looks good. I've attached a screencapture of the message as well for reference.

Thanks for reading.

Just a brief update,

Ive been advised by IBM support that there are significant differences in the IIS config between 11.0.13 and 11.1.x and i should look to clear out the IIS site settings and set it up again.

This does seem a little drastic, especially as I've had little success with the IIS scripts so it becomes a manual process.

For those that have upgraded from 11.0.4+ to 11.1.x have you made considerbale changes to the IIS config?

There could be many reasons for this, but the first thing you could do, is check if your images are places in the following path direction:
D:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\analytics\webcontent\bi

Next step would be to open up IIS and under Websites check if the folder that you have placed your images in are enabled for WebDAV
