Actions against a Failed report in a Schedued Job
« on: 03 Oct 2019 07:20:04 am »
Hi

We are running C11.6 and I have a question about failed reports running in a scheduled job.

Sometimes it happens that a scheduled job containing several reports fails because one of the reports fails; our only way to check this situation today is to look in Admin.Console the history of the jobs/reports and see the status.

We'd like to have something able to check a report failure and send an email with the info of the failed job/report.
We were thinking to Event Studio but our concern is on the tool because it's not clear wether or not IBM will support again it.

Any idea ??

Thanks

Hi,

Event Studio is still part of the Cognos Analytics functionality set, and is supported by IBM provided you have an active S&S agreement in place with them. Why are you unsure about it - it hasn't been announced for deprecation - at least anywhere I've ever seen?

Cheers!

MF.
