Cognos controller period 13

We are currently designing the controller system for our organization

Can someone please tell me the utility of using period 13.


We are contemplating using the same to capture the same to contain the audit adjustments so as to retain both the pre-audit and the post audit data in the same actuality

Hey,

due to my experiences for audit adjustments is a special journal type used. One reason for 13 period could be the 12 period is for  a fast close statement and the 13 period for the final year end statement.
