Analysis Studio won't open some cubes - opens others

We are testing 8.4.  AS will not open some of our cubes but opens others.  I can't see any differences between the cubes that fail and the ones that don't.  8.3 has no problem with these cubes.  All the cubes (working and not working) are built with Transformer 7.4.  Any ideas on what 8.4 might not like about these certain cubes?  Thanks.
