Transformer 7.3 to 8.4.1

Hello Friends

Recently we migrated our server Infra from cognos 8.1 to 8.4 except the powerplay cubes.

Now we intend to do so, as part of installation we have installed Transformer8.4.1 with IQD bridge on UNIX box ( we now wanted to get rid of windows transformer and hence the FTP process).

As POC we have installed transformer 8.4.1 on UNIX

Now how to achieve below

1. Transfer all 7.3 cubes to 8 and what are things required for e.g security involved and other stuff
2. How does UNIX transformer works? I check for syntax with no luck?
3. what is the folder structure needed, as I don't know where should i place my MDL / PYJ files and the IQD's and the location for MDC files

even i have a similar requirement.

i need to install cognos 8.4.1 transformer on unix box.

currently i am assigned to a cognos Project. version 8.4.Prior to this i have worked on support projects but not on implimentations.
 
The scenario is that we need to install cognos 8.4 on Hp-ux Itanium box(unix environment). Do you know anyone who has implimented Cognos 8.4 on Unix environment.Any installations steps is helpful.
 
Also currently we are having powerplay transformer EP 7.3 where we have developed the Transformer models and published the powerplay cubes to COgnos reportnet 1.1 through PPES and also developed some reports in reportnet.

we have implimented security using cognos Access Manager (sun one LDAP directory Server)
 
we need to move the existing cubes ,reports,transformer models,framework manager models  to cognos version 8.4 installed on Hp-ux itanium box.
 
can you please help me in getting how to impliment the above scenario and the road map and approach to be followed to provide the solution.
 
if you have any of your friends who has worked earlier and who is sound in knowledge please forward there details so that i can contact them and clear all the doubts.
 
At present i need to prepare the documents required to deploy the same.

Can you please send steps to installation and configuration of the above mentioned solution.

the transformer on UNIX is only a engine to create the cube. The cogtr.exe is called cogtr.sh

there is a windows client to communicate with this unix engine, but cmd line work well for me. Look for complete commandline syntax here:
