Listing the permissions for each report/package

I am trying to get a listing of the permissions for all reports and packages. I know i can open the properties of each individual item and put it into an excel. But then i need to rely on everyone to updatethe excel when they change the permissions. Is there anyone who has a report that i can rerun everytime i need this info.

btw, we have Cognos 8.4 installed.

Did you ever get a solution for this?  I am looking to do the same thing and contemplating a third party tool or trying to create a query to give me all this info.
